According to the (DISC Personality Test), my strengths are steadiness and dominance.  I believe these traits allow me to be patient, passionate, and caring when handling clients who present with various medical issues. I allow each patient adequate time to express him or herself, allowing me to gather information needed during the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. According to Sutton et al. (2020), healthcare providers rely on patients’ health-related information in clinical decision-making. Hence, by relying on health-related information provided by the patient, I am able to collaborate with patients for proper diagnosis and effective treatment with positive outcomes. However, the same analysis show I have some weak areas that I must improve to enhance my care delivery competence and capacity. Specifically, I should improve my compliance, which involves how I organize my activities, procedures, and responsibilities.  I work in an organization experiencing staffing shortages, which increases the workload.  That sometimes means, I do what I believe will result in quality care and positive patient outcomes while reducing the waiting time. By so doing, I sometimes fail to comply with the set organizational policies and procedures.

I have an opportunity to revise organizational policies and procedures regarding care delivery. Adhering to these guidelines while assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals presented with various clinical manifestations will enhance my compliance.
